ADE 1.2.128 lets a chat run commands and simulators on your other computers, lets every harness use the sign-ins you already have, and makes updates across several machines easy to read. Chats stream and switch much faster, and the iPhone gets a separate ADE Beta app.

New

  • An agent can run a command or a simulator on another of your computers from the chat you are in, with no second chat or lane; the chat header shows that machine while it works there (#1999).
  • Every harness can use the Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Kimi, Devin and Muse sign-ins you already have, Copilot, Pi and Kimi become custom harnesses, and the Custom editor is redesigned (#2009).
  • A shell code block in a reply can run in a new terminal, and its output can go back to the agent with one click (#2027).
  • One restart dialog lists every machine with its track and target build, each machine is offered the newest build on its own track, and Settings opens on a new General page (#1997).
  • If an update breaks startup, an “ADE could not start” window offers Try again or Go back to the previous version, and Settings › Advanced lists the database copies kept on this computer (#2002).
  • Demo videos made by agents read like a product post, and PR text written with gh can be repaired with ADE’s proof (#1996).
  • Settings › Machines shows each machine’s load, what it can run, and a preference for where new work goes (#1999).

Improved

  • Streaming a reply uses about a third of the main-thread time it did, and the last line lands in 19 ms instead of 602 ms (#2003).
  • Switching chats, typing and rebuilding long chats are faster (#1985).
  • Git reads, lane lists and History start far fewer git processes, and an idle brain starts 55% fewer processes (#1977, #1978, #1987, #1989, #1981).
  • A phone on a slow link shows its first chat 3 seconds sooner, and the brain no longer freezes while it connects (#1976).
  • Subagent approvals stay in the parent chat through Stop, the end of a turn and a restart; each card names its subagent and the composer lists the ones waiting (#2028).
  • Focus is on by default in Work, and the Work list shows chat counts (#1998).
  • Settling a chat no longer stops its background work (#1993).
  • Every agent sees every browser tab, and one browser task stays on one machine (#2025).
  • Usage stats are account-wide, quota follows the login, and the usage popover is cleaner (#2015).
  • Copilot uses SDK 1.0.28 with its own slash commands and errors you can trace (#1991).
  • Bulk lane actions and Shift-select work for lanes on other machines (#2014).
  • Runtime downloads that macOS kept but no longer lists show up in Apple runtimes (#2016).

Fixed

  • 16 bugs that T3 Code fixed and ADE also had, including git hooks with non-English locales, signed-commit text in file lists, the context meter’s compaction point and shortcuts on non-Latin keyboards (#2021).
  • The CTO’s steering joins a worker’s running turn, Electron apps start on lane screens, and simulator snapshots find every tab-bar item (#2024).
  • New project databases open on Windows, SSH key paths with ~ or %USERPROFILE% work, and Sentry sends far fewer false alerts (#2019).
  • A failed account token refresh retries instead of showing an unreadable sign-in (#2035).
  • Tailscale no longer shows a warning over your computers (#2030).
  • gh keychain helpers no longer pile up, and a broken chat repairs itself (#2018).
  • A chat at rest no longer wakes days later, and ade doctor shows the real latest build (#1994).

iOS

  • A separate ADE Beta app installs beside the normal app, and machines running a beta show a Beta chip (#2008, #2002).
  • Chat Info has an account switcher, and its pane matches desktop (#2004).
  • Long menus scroll again, an unfolded Duo is lighter, the new-chat card has the 3D activity skyline, and charts read well with little data (#2006).
  • The permission mode is one dropdown at every width (#2032).
  • The app no longer freezes or gets killed while it finds your machines (#2019).

Windows

  • Lane creates and deletes no longer fail or hang, and Test connection no longer disconnects (#2017).
  • No PowerShell window flashes, and dev-server scans no longer start PowerShell each time (#1995, #2026).
  • Opening a project no longer holds the brain for about a second, and git runs one process per command instead of two (#1983, #1977).
